Grace Barr has devoted her life to holistic healing and spiritual growth,
a journey that began with a profound near-death experience at the age of seven. By seventeen, she was at the Abode of the Message, studying under Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan—son of Hazrat Inayat Khan—and was later ordained by him into the Sufi lineage. During this time, she immersed herself in the practice of Zikr, a Sufi meditation technique centered on rhythmic repetition of sacred phrases to transcend the ego and foster a deep connection with the divine. Her mastery of Zikr became a cornerstone of her spiritual practice, grounding her in profound mindfulness and self-awareness.
As the Omega Institute was emerging, Grace also studied with visionary teachers of contemporary spirituality, including Ram Dass, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, and Brother David Steindl-Rast.
Grace holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and credentials in Psychosynthesis, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Massage Therapy (LMT), and Shamanic Reiki. Over the past four decades, she has developed an integrative system of mind-body-spirit healing, combining these diverse modalities to address the full spectrum of human experience. With 38 years of private practice, she has guided individuals and couples toward deeper self-awareness, healing, and transformation. Her compassionate presence and depth of experience now extend to leading retreats and workshops worldwide, helping others awaken their innate capacity for wholeness.
